Hotel Vecellio is located in a fortunate position in Venice, on the Fondamente Nove, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Lagoon and a stone’s throw from the ACTV water bus stops for piazzale Roma (car terminal), the “Santa Lucia” train station, for Venice airport “Marco Polo” (direct blue line Alilaguna).
The surroundings of the hotel are quiet, in fact the area is hidden from the great bustle of tourists and at the same time it is convenient to reach Piazza San Marco, which you can get to in a quarter of an hour on foot with a pleasant walk through the alleys and squares, while instead the Rialto bridge can be reached in just 10 minutes. In 5 minutes from the Hotel Vecellio you can also arrive in Strada Nova, the main shopping promenade of Venice, with clothing, accessories, cosmetics and supermarket shops. Very close to the Hotel are also pizzerias and bacari, the typical Venetian taverns, to try the traditional cuisine of Venice.
How to get here
From Piazzale Roma and from Tronchetto take the ACTV 5.2 vaporetto and get off at the “Fondamente Nove” stop, go 20 metres to the left along the Fondamenta and you are in front of the Hotel Vecellio.
The “Santa Lucia” train station is located in the heart of Venice on the Grand Canal. In front of the station are the ACTV water bus stops: take the vaporetto 5.2 and get off at the “Fondamente Nove” stop; 20 metres further on the left is Hotel Vecellio.
From “Marco Polo” Airport in Venice. From Arrivals follow the signs for the Alilaguna line jetty. Take the Blue line motorboat and get off at the second stop “Fondamente Nove”. You have arrived: the Hotel Vecellio is on your left, 20 metres away.
The historical centre of Venice is only accessible on foot. Leave your car in one of the garages in Piazzale Roma, or in one of the Tronchetto car parks. Then follow the directions from the point by vaporetto.
